1.ACETECHFEST – A national level student symposium is organized and conducted by students annually since 2010.
2. Students have won laurels/prizes in various competitions/paper presentation events at IIT’S and other reputed Institutes.

Students Achievements
1. Pallav Parasar, Vicknaraj and MV Promod has won I place in MEGA MODELING at Kurukshetra conducted by Society of Civil Engineers, College of GUindy, Anna University Chennai from 2nd to 5th of February 2011.
2. M.S Prem kumar and B. Kosigan has won II place in CADD CONTEST at Civilization’11 conducted by Society of Civil Engineers, College of Guindy, Anna University Chennai from 10th to 12th of March 2011.
3. M.K. Gouthami, III year Civil Engineering Student is honoured with Best NSS Volunteer Award for the year 2009-2010 for her excellent service in the National Service Scheme, Anna University, Chennai.
Faculty Achievements
1. Dr. D.Sivakumar, Professor and Head, Department of Civil Engineering has served as reviewer for the International Journal of Environmental Science and Technology, has been promoted as Regional Editor also one of the Editorial Board Member for the above journal from 17.01.2011onwards.
2. Mr. S.R.Kannan, Asst. Professor (SL.G.), Department of Civil Engineering has published a research paper in the journal of Indian Road congress. The detail of research paper is “Kannan S.R. and Shanmugasundaram A. (2011), “A production rate approach for determination of road project duration using linear scheduling method”, Indian Highways, Journal of Indian Road congress, Jan 2011, 59-66”.
3. Mr. S.Siva Prakasan and Dr. D.Sivakumar (2011), presented in National Conference on Innovations in Mechanical, Mechatronics and Building Sciences (NCIMMBS-2011) on paper titled “Effect of Change in properties of soil by using Rice Husk Ash and Lime”, at Kongu Engineering College, Perundurai, Erode, conducted on 29th & 30th of April2011.
