MILESTONE

• The department of 'Information Technology’ has been established in the year 1999.
• The very first batch passed out in June, 2003.
• The initial annual intake in 1999 was 40.
• Sanction for annual intake has been enhanced to 90 since the year 2001-2002.
• Subsequently the intake has been enhanced to 120 in the year 2006-2007
• The department has been accredited by National Board of Accreditation in the year 2007 for 3 years
• Affiliation for M.E (Software Engineering) has been sanctioned in the year 2008 with annual intake of 18 students.
• The department has organized 3 AICTE sponsored workshops and 1Faculty Development Training Programme sponsored by Anna University Chennai during the semester June 2009 – Nov 2009.
• The department has organized 1 workshop and 1 AICTE sponsored Staff Development Training Programme during the year June 2010 – May 2011.
• AICTE has sanctioned Rs.7,25,000/- for the project titled “Automated RFID based Location Tracking “ during the year 2009-2010 under the research promotion.
•  TCS best student award for the year 2007, 2009 and 2010.
• Securing university rank every year.
• The department has organized 1 International workshop during the year June 2010 – May 2011.
• The department has organized 1 AICTE sponsored Seminar during the period June 2011 – Dec 2011.
